Tucked away inside, just a few steps into the Kamla Mills compound is the well known Farzi cafe.
With intricately patterned walls, a steady bar and good music, this cafe is just the right place to spend a Friday evening or even Sunday afternoon at.
Already famous for their delicious food, fancy cocktails and a peppy ambiance, this time around Farzi cafe has come out with a brand new Brunch Menu, offering many new delectable treats to choose from. Right from the appetisers to the drinks and dessert, many things on this menu are worth a try.
The Besan Chili Fritters and Black Pepper and Golden Garlic Prawns are ones I would recommend from the appetisers. The chili fritters are crisp with just the right amount of spice and the prawns are succulent and how, with just a hint of garlic, making sure not to be overpowered by it.
The main course also serves up quite a variety. The wok tossed vegetables with a peanut tamarind saalan and dhaniya kulcha is a visual treat as much as it gastronomical. The Bisi Bele Bhaat with charred artichoke and cherry tomatoes is simple, but a little too simple for my taste.
Dessert is the most important part of any meal and the Ghevar Malai tart is all you can ask for to end a meal like this. It’s crunchy and topped with a rich rabdi which guarantees to be wiped out in seconds.
The menu also has some fantastic drinks to pair your meal with and of course they are as over the top as you’d expect them to be.
Farzi cafe is a great place to catch up with your favourite bunch of people over some of the most lip smacking food and drinks. And with such good hospitality, there is no reason to not visit again. 🙂
