The Rolling Pin- My Experience

After hearing quite a lot about this place, I decided to pay a visit. You can smell the freshly baked items as you first enter this beautiful bakery. With its french styled windows and wooden decor, this place definitely feels very welcoming.

This bakery has a very vibrant and an informal vibe. Its great to hang out with a bunch of friends chatting your time away or just grabbing a cup of coffee with a date. It is well decorated giving the place a very polished look with a slightly rustic feel to it.

What gives this place an edge is the open kitchen that they have. All their bakery items are freshly made from scratch and right in front of your eyes. They have quite a unique display of desserts and a variety of other baked items.

Moving on to the food, we started with the salted caramel shake and some coffee. Both we thought were equally good, however the salted caramel shake was served in a mini version of a milk tin, which I personally found adorable.

We then moved on to some proper food by ordering a Thai fusion salad, which was very fresh and crunchy but a little overpowered by peanuts, Moussaka, a dish with a tomato base, vegetables and cheese which was  baked and served in beautiful ceramic stone bowl. It was perfectly balanced and very filling ( For me personally, it tasted like pizza, again something I have no complaints about).

We also tried the very interesting black burger with a filling of cottage cheese and beetroot served with a side of potato wedges and mayonnaise. Although,  aesthetically very appealing, this was  a little disappointing as the buns were too dry and the burger lacked a lot of flavour.

From the desserts we tried, I really liked  the Raspberry Princess. It is beautiful dessert that looks like a red rose and is filled with raspberry mousse and macadamia nuts ( I highly recommend this one) and the blueberry cheesecake that we tried was good too.

This cafe is a definitely worth visiting at least once. They have really amazing desserts and if not all, you should try out a few of them. They serve quality food with beautiful presentation and should definitely be on your bucket list to visit!
